There is, indeed, a ludicrous amount of content there. Looking at where guild members are in the world is interesting, because even though I've been reading fairly attentively about EQII for a few weeks now, I still don't often recognise the placenames. "Village of Shin"?

I'm also interested to note that some of the intermediate level questing areas - currently the Butcherblock Docks - are more populated than Gorowyn, which is a capital city. But maybe capitals don't mean what they do in WoW, or maybe it's just less popular... and not knowing that is fun.

Are you by any chance playing on Lucan DLere?

Alas no, although I've only reached the heady heights of level 10 so far, and that was over the bonus XP weekend, so a server move isn't entirely out of the question. I'm taking things very slowly.

I went with my usual staple of RP server and thus picked Antonia Bayle. I was pleased, however, at my prudence in switching over to the US servers rather than using the default EU servers applicable to my time zone. It does mean that I'm out of sync with the vast proportion of the player base, but the EU servers looked rather bleak even compared to off-peak US servers.

That’s where I’m trying out the whole EQII experience.

Indeed! I think I found your blog either via Ysh or Tipa and I've been reading your continuing adventures with interest. I've never been a crafter or a philanderer of auction houses, Zoso is the expert there, so it will be good to read the experiences of others who are seeing these things for the first time and at the same time that I'm stumbling my way through the, frankly, intimidating amount of content from both the game and its fans.
