Good lord, I completely forget that the WAR guild was seeded from Silent Minority originally!

Then again, I'd probably forget my, um... sandwich? If it wasn't, uh... mmmmmmmm sandwich.

I forgot what I was saying... Oh yes! I'll try to remember to say hello in game the next time I'm on.

Plenty of great mature guilds on Laurelin, including my own, The Silent Minority, which was where many of the original members of your old WAR guild gestated from.

Looks like I did at least pick a class that's fit for purpose. I'm deliberately steering clear of the forums though, lest I read all about how it's the worst class in the world ever, or that Lore Masters are much better for solo play because they can aggro and defeat the whole of Mount Doom while only getting down to half power.

So, slog through the Lone-lands/North Downs, but otherwise I'm heading along the right tracks. Excellent, onwards then!

Oh and I'm on [EN-RP] Laurelin.

Thanks to you both!

Welcome back to Middle Earth Melmoth. My character Throg is also a Champion. Its a very fun class to play and gets even better as you level up. You seem to become disproportionately more powerful. If you are determined to go the solo route just don't forget that a Champion in fervour mode is something of a glass cannon. Don't try taking on elites solo. Leave that to the Lore Masters.

One of the nicest things about Lotro Champions is that as well as being a great solo DPS class they are also popular in groups. I think it gives people a sense of security to have a tough guy fighting along side them who can deal out a lot of damage but also take it when necessary.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. The Champion is the class to play if you find it gratifying to see lots of big numbers flying about, and their prowess is such that you could viably tank most, if not all, of the game's group content with suitable speccing.

Just try not to lose heart when you hit the Lone-lands & North Downs. Things improve steadily after that!

What server are you on by the way?
