		<description>We have to remember the time Watchmen was first out, 1986 to appreciate what it did for the comic market. It did stir alot of interest back to comic books as an alternative reading medium rather than just the same old superhero stuff.

I agree though there&#039;s some great post Watchmen comics out there.</description>

		<description>Melmoth&#039;s a big Alan Moore fan, so I borrowed Watchmen (and a stack of other Moore stuff) from him.  It&#039;s a good comic, though I didn&#039;t really see it as the genre-defining work it&#039;s sometimes built up as; I think that might be due to reading a lot of post-Watchmen stuff before it, so it didn&#039;t have the impact of being something totally different.  As a result, I haven&#039;t been following the film development too religiously, but the trailer did look quite good, and just as development hell seemed to be over, we get a studio pissing contest...</description>
