Thought for the day.

Imagine if we, the mass of massively multiplayer online gamers, joined together and formed a corporation, and spent as much time grinding stock markets or crafting real items for sale or farming… well, just farming, as we currently do in MMOs.

Do you think it would be long before we destabilised the world economy?

It might take a while, as most people would be complaining to the MD that the crafting process is too complicated and time-consuming, and before long the MD would /corpquit and be followed by a group of people who go on to farm penguins, something only 0.5% of the population ever manage to achieve.

Meanwhile, most people gaming the stock market are stuck trying to find a rich relative willing to let them have a few thousand quid as a start-up, whilst others spend all their time pimping up their rides and then hanging around in town centres purely to show them off.

So you’re saying that my master plan to start a corporation where MMO players pay me £14.99 a month to work for me, might need a little more planning?
